00:25 When I peeked out the window this morning I was flabbergasted. It had snowed, a nice thick white layer had covered the city roofs. I like the quietness that arises from a blank snow carpet. It has a seems to absorb all background noise and emit a serene silence. After drinking my morning .5 liter of celery/pear juice, I hit out to work. The serene silence was quickly replaced by the sound of a traffic jam with some sirens in the background. As I walked around the cars, I took a deep breath and enjoyed the view. I am grateful that the smog alert is gone and the air is a little more enjoyable.... another step in the right direction.
The juicing goes remarkably well. To be honest, I started this without any expectations or time goals. As long as it feels good, I'll keep on. I must be honest, I pictured this second feast to take place in a tropical paradise, preferably Costa Rica. Somewhere warm, with cheap exotic fruits... well... If I can do it here in the freezing European winter, during a stressful period of my life, with one of the cheapest juicers around (I got it from the points on my supermarket bonus card), whilst working four jobs at a time... so can you! It's probably best not to be on a juice feast when I go to a tropical country, there are so many new fruits I want to try out. I admit, I am a durian-virgin...
I owe a big thank you to a good friend of mine. Once again, she gave me a push in the right direction today by saying something simple. You might say she sometimes helps me see the light. I feel it is part for the next part of the cleanse. Mental clarity. I've been meditating for five years now. Lately, I have been slumbering with it. Stuff happened lately, and I took refuge in watching mindless series. In my childhood, I was a tv-addict. I admit that. I watched around 40 hour of tele a week! Back in Switzerland and when I was at uni I stopped and started meditating. I feel totally different when I keep away from tv. I've got some great books lying around (Amongst which Love without end, Jesus Speaks), I am also studying Japanese, working on the second edition of my book (http://book.drupalfun.com), starting up my web consultancy business, selling my loghome (naturalp.org) and thinking about my PhD... I could keep on going...
I want to make a promise to you. I'll avoid all tv radically and focus on the things that deserve my attention. Here it is, grey on white :-) Let's give it a shot. Tomorrow, when my mind starts rambling, I'll just meditate. Bliss...
Ja mata!
