Yesterday, I watched the DVD of Simply Raw. This movie documents 30 diabetics who eat only raw vegan food for 30 days. We follow them through the entire process. The detox, and cravings, as well as the joy of healing themselves.

Simply Ray - The Movie

The movie starts one the eve of the adventure, where we get to see them prepare there 'last meal' at home. An interesting contrast with your average raw food meal... After that, they all go the Dr. Gabriel Cousin's center in Arizona and get to enjoy all you can eat raw vegan meals. Jummy :-) It's a documentary of their experiences.

Although everybody goes through a personal transformation, the main theme throughout the film diabetics. The World Health Organisation defines diabetes as an 'incurable disease'. Yet, we see that after 2-5 days, all of the type-2 diabetes are completely off their insuline and medication, as well as 1 out of the 2 type-1 diabetes! What would they say to that?

Many speakers, such as David Wolfe, Dr. Gabriel Cousins, Woody Harrelson, Rev. Michael Beckwith, Joel Fuhrman, M.D., Fred Bisci, Ph.D.,... inspire us throughout the film.

I found the movie to be amazingly inspiring. A must see for all raw foodists, anybody into eating healthy, healing and taking control over their lives. It's about gaining clarity, and finding simple solutions. Simply raw.
